Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31 1965) is a famous American model and actress. At the age of 12, she was a child model. She was praised by critics for her role in Louis Malle's 1978 film Pretty Baby (1978). She modelled into her teen yearsand was recognized for her part in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby. Shields made minor film roles and returned to acting in the 1990s. She was also a mainstay in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-192000), in which she was awarded two Golden Globe nominations and Lipstick Jungle (2008)-2009. Shields was back on NBC in 2017, reprising her role as the main recurring character in Law & Order: Special Victims Unified's 19th season. Shields has the role of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was a Manhattan, New York, born on May 31 the year 1965. She is the daughter of Teri Shields who was a model and actress, and Frank Shields, a businessman (1941-2003). Her mother was of English, German, Scotch-Irish and Welsh origin, and her father had English, French, Irish as well as Italian ancestry.According to research by William Addams Reitwiesner, Shields has ancestral links with a number of noble families from Italy particularly those from Genoa as well as Rome. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Marina Torlonia di Civitella Cisi from Civitella Cisi, an Italian noblewoman and the daughter of an American prince, was Teri's paternal grandmother. Her great-uncle Alessandro Torlonia, an Italian nobleman was the father of Infanta Beatriz who was born in Spain. Teri was paid the sum of money by Frank's family in order to end the pregnancy.
