Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born on March 23 in 1976. She is most famous for her leading roles in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). She has also received recognition for her role as Julia Meade in the action spy film series Mission: Impossible, appearing in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).On television, Monaghan starred as Maggie Hart in the premiere season of the crime-drama show True Detective (2014), for which she was awarded nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also played Sarah Lane in the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was the protagonist of the 2020 Netflix thriller Messiah. It was cancelled after just one season. Monaghan was born in the town of 750 people (then population of roughly 750) of Winthrop, Iowa, the daughter of Sharon Hammel, and Robert Monaghan who worked in a factory. Monaghan has two brothers older than her, Bob and John. Monaghan is a Catholic of Irish and German descent and has graduated from East Buchanan High School, 1994. After graduation, Monaghan relocated to Chicago to pursue a journalism degree and began modeling. She has also modelled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore and the United States. After one semester to finish her journalism course in 1999, she moved to New York to pursue an acting career. Her first role was model. Monaghan's initial two television appearances, which were in a secondary role she played Caroline Busse in episodes of Young Americans, which aired in 2000. Her second television appearance was on Law & Order: Special Victims Unified , in "Consent" which was aired on January 19, 2001. In addition, she made her screen debut in Perfume in 2001 as Henrietta. Her next film, this time playing a role of support and in 2002 in Unfaithful, starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
