Miley Ray Cyrus is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and actor. Her distinctive , raspy voice is the mainstay of her music, which combines elements from a variety of genres and styles, including country pop, rock, pop, experimental and rock. With thirteen entries, Cyrus holds the record for the most US Billboard 200 top five albums of the 21st century from women artists. Cyrus's personal life, public image and performances often caused controversy and have received extensive media attention. Cyrus was born to Billy Ray Cyrus and became a teen idol after she was cast in the title role in the Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana (2006)-2011. Hannah Montana's number one and third-five top-five album, as well as the US Billboard Hot 100 Top-ten single "He Could be the One." Cyrus's personal discography includes US number-one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008), and Bangerz (2013); the top five releases are Can't be Tamed (2010) Younger Now (2017), Plastic Hearts (2020) and the album for free Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz (2015). She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus was an actor, and was seen in Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2010) and The Last Song (2010). Cyrus was a coach on The Voice for two seasons and starred in "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too", a Netflix episode of Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is an active advocate for the rights of animals. In 2014, she decided to adopt the vegan lifestyle. She started the Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014. Its focus is on youth homelessness as well as the LGBT community.
