Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in the field of pop. It was formed in 2009. The group is
comprised of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow and also Logan Henderson and
Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed with Nick Records in 2009 before
changing to Columbia Records. The group appeared in Nickelodeon’s show on
television called Big Time Rush. From November 28, 2009 to July 25 2013 the
show ran. The pilot episode featured "Big Time Rush" the group's
debut promotional single. The group has released three studio albums: BTR in
2010, Elevate in 2011, and 24/Seven in 2013. The group in 2014 was on break for
an indefinite time that lasted until 2021. They then returned to live
performances and released "Call it Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed
Big Time Rush to a recording deal in 2009, concurrently with the television
show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon also joined forces with Columbia/Epic Label
Group for production and original music. The first single from the group,
"Big Time Rush" appeared on the series on the 29th of November, 2009.
Officially released on Nickelodeon the song first aired in the U.S. November
2009 and was later broadcast across the world. The show premiered during a
one-hour special preview of the show and it is the current theme for the show's
opening. The series also saw songs released as promotional singles like
"City is Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush
performed "Famous" by Play. The song came out on iTunes on June 29
2010. The song's second, "Halfway There", was released to iTunes
following its premiere on the show. It was soon their first chart-topping song
on the Billboard Hot 100. It reached number 93 thanks to digital sales. Big
Time Rush's second single, "Till You Forget About You", was released
on September 21 the 21st of September, 2010. This was to promote the release of
their debut album. BTR, the album BTR was released on October 11 10th, 2010. It
debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 67,000 copies in the first
week of its release.
