Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was conceived in Miami, Florida on November 30, 1977. American electro-house musician, record producer, D.J. & music executive. He is the third child of Chizuru and Rocky Aoki's children. His father, who was a former wrestler, also co-founded the chain of restaurants Benihana. There are two siblings and a sister Kana, who is often called Grace by her middle name Grace and brother Kevin (owner of Doraku Sushi). His half-sister's model and actress Devon Aoki. The family was raised in Newport Beach, California and graduated from Newport Harbor High School, where he was a member of the club that played varsity badminton. He went on to UC Santa Barbara, graduating with two B.A. He earned two bachelor's degrees, one in feminist studies and the other in Sociology. In the college years, he made DIY recordings and held underground concerts out of his Biko room at the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative. The Pickle Patch became a performance venue when the building was named The Pickle Patch. He was also active in student protests at UCSB by being the founder of an Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League chapter on campus. In his early 20s, Dim Mak was establishing his own record company, that he named Dim Mak after his childhood hero Bruce Lee. He came out with I'm IN THE HOUSE, which was a collaboration with the Zuper Blahq alter ego of will.i.am. The song charted at the top of the charts at No. The song reached the position of No. 29 on the U.K. Singles Chart within its first week of release. The song was ranked in the top five in both the U.K. Indie Chart and the U.K. Dance Chart. The track was featured on the MTV series Jersey Shore. It also made an appearance in Piranha, the feature film Piranha and also in the trailer for Think Like A Man. HitQuarters interview in May 2010 with Lucas Secon revealed that Rivers Cuomo and he had recently recorded a song together. He was named the highest-grossing dancer from North America by Pollstar in 2012. He has collaborated w/ artists like Iggy Azalea, Afrojack, LMFAO, Linkin Park, Will.i.am, Lil Jon, Blink-182, Laidback Luke, BTS, Louis Tomlinson, Rise Against, Vini Vici & Fall Out Boy. He is famous for remixing artists like Kid Cudi.
